As XCmag describes it - "Consistently brilliant flying weather, stunning routes over knife-edged ridges and limestone walls". Chabre is an excellent location for organizing competitions. The take-off area is large enough to accommodate 15-20 pilots ready for take-off simultaneously. We have two main landings, each the size of multiple football fields. One of these landings is conveniently located in the middle of our campsite, where the headquarters will be situated. This area is a mix of mountains and relatively flat terrain, although the flats are not completely flat when you drive around the valley. However, they do appear flat when viewed from 3000m at the cloud base.
Lijak, a 35 km long ridge is well known for its optimal weather and uncomplicated aerology. The tasks can be set on the ridge with zig-zags on the plain. With high cloud base tasks with goal in Tolmin are achievable.

Levico Terme is situated in the southern Alps.
With good weather conditions, it’s fairly easy to make flights to Mt Dolada and back (an over 100km out-and-return). The tasks can be set along the main ridges as well as across the valley. Flights over 2000 metres of the Cima Panarotta peak offer an awesome view of the Brenta Dolomites, and much of the north-eastern Alps, as well as the underlying Valsugana Valley, with its beautiful lakes of Caldonazzo and Levico to the south.
Clopotiva is a flying spot suitable for pilots of all levels. You will fly over spectacular landscape of Retezat National Park with its 2509m Peleaga peak. The site also offers flat land flying possibilities in case of overdevelopment in mountains. The Retezat mountains are part of the Southern Carpathians.
Clopotiva belongs to prime Romanian flying sites. It hosted a Paragliding World Cup in 2022.
